r2 has worked with schools to develop a totally interactive learning application for school websites.

The website application provides 'virtual student support' enabling students to carry on their education in 'out of hours learning'. The application has been created to act as a tool to assist all members of the school community

The application also allows schools to communicate with all members of their community, and acts as an online brochure for potential new students and their parents.

The application is controlled completely by school staff, and even the students, after basic training in the use of it. Staff are then able to:

• Create and manage all aspects of the educational departments
• Create non-educational departments for all other staff
• Create and upload curriculum content for all year groups and departments
• Create and upload Home work assistance for all year groups and departments
• Answer 'Questions To The Teacher' about a subject from a student.
• Post news about a department
• Show student work online in a 'Gallery'
• lots more.....

There is a student newspaper that allows students to post pictures and news items online after they have been checked by a teacher.

The application also allows the school to send news and letters home via email, targetted to the correct year group.
